You should set your support help desk to automatically clean up your database of past files so to preserve space on your server. To set these options begin by clicking Optimize/Backup Database
To delete sessions, chat sessions, and closed tickets, check the corresponding boxes. Deleting sessions will delete all traffic-related stats for your support page, and deleting chat sessions will delete all chat-related information, such as saved chat transcripts and staff ratings. Select a time period from the dropdown menu after which older records will be automatically deleted. When you are done, click Clean Up.
To back up your database, click the link shown, then save the backup to your hard drive.
To automate the management of tickets that require a response from the user, click on the link shown below.
You can set your support desk to automatically send out an e-mail to users with pending tickets. In the screen shown here, you can set the number of days to wait before sending the message, and you can enter the plaintext of the message as well as a URL for the HTML e-mail.
If you simply want to automatically close tickets that have had pending status for a certain amount of time, enter that time here. When you are finished, click Update.
If you are getting unexpected MySQL errors, click the link shown to repair your MySQL tables. You should also bookmark the URL shown in case you receive errors that make it impossible for you to log in and repair them.
